George Vance PROGRESSIVE REPERTOIRE VOL 1
I am happy to present to you the George Vance Method, “PROGRESSIVE REPERTOIRE FOR THE DOUBLE BASS.” Often, the lack of musicality in method books discourages people who use traditional methods. George Vance’s method, on the other hand, consists entirely of well known tunes with clear fingering especially suited to beginners. Everyone, no matter what performing level, will find real pleasure in playing these melodies.
Each piece is presented in a logical and workable fashion, so as not to confuse the bass player, thus preparing them for the use of my new technique.
-Francois Rabbath
