Description
The approximately 10-minute Concertino for Double Bass and Piano, Op. 128, is a concertante work. It is well-suited—for instance, in music schools—for preparing young double bassists for orchestral playing, as well as for mastering various playing techniques. In addition to *arco* and *pizzicato*, key areas of focus include *cantabile* playing, leading the melody in the high register, and double stops in the third movement. In this edition, the double bass is accompanied by the piano; a subsequent orchestration is conceivable.
