3/4 Carved Bass w Violin Corners
The bass has violin corners, an arched back and sloping shoulders that make playing in the high register easy. Made by Johannes Gustav Ruchti in 2004.
The top is two piece spruce and back is two piece, quarter cut maple. The ribs are lightly flamed maple, the neck and scroll are plain maple.

This bass has a very warm and punchy tone. Very even in all registers. I’ve used it extensively for jazz, classical, theatre, salsa, pop and folk gigs.
