Description
The approximately 10-minute Concertino for Double Bass and Piano, Op. 128, is a concertante work. It is well-suited, for example, for preparing young double bass players in music schools for playing with an orchestra, as well as for learning various playing techniques.
Key elements include arco and pizzicato, cantabile playing, leading the melody in the high register, and double stops in the third movement.
In this edition, the double bass plays together with the piano; a later orchestration is conceivable.
