Tosca Teatro Carved Wood Bass is a Lemur Music Exclusive design. Both are made with traditional Italian Styling in proportions, materials, and craftsmanship. Our Current Tosca Bass has a medium dark brown spruce top, maple back and sides, with a matte oil varnish, hand-rubbed to a nice luster. The smallish 3/4 size body is super easy to play with every note well within reach. The top has a Lemur Music graduation pattern we’ve developed just for Tosca’s unique top-plate proportion. We also increased the rib by 1” at the heel to give more air in the box. We’ve adjusted the over stand on Tosca basses to have better projection and to allow for a taller bridge. All these small adjustments add up to a bass that delivers clear mid-range, good fundamental, and easy playability.
