Description
The Valse is a modal composition with slightly Impressionistic overtones. It features a lengthy central cadenza and a Presto ending section which audiences really respond to.
This piece has served well for both competitions and recitals (it’s been played a number of times at ISB conventions, notably by Ju-Fang Liu when she shared the 1st place win in the solo category in 1999).
Comes complete with two piano parts, for orchestral and solo tuning. (about 5 ½ min.)
