Fractional Size Bass Strings - All Brands

Fractional size bass strings are proportionally smaller than regular sized strings. Each manufacturer formulates fractional strings to the specific scale length for each size bass. Mfg’s also control string tension and mass to make string diameter proportional to the overall length. This is important for several reasons, most notably the amount of tension transferred to the top. Over tensioning the top does not increase the life-span of either the string or the instrument.
